Do you have a cat? Do you like to go out of town? You might need a cat sitter!
Cats are pretty independent and easy to care for. However, they still require care and attention when you travel.
While you're away, your cat may need the following from a pet sitter:
• Food & Fresh Water - You might be thinking, "but there's automatic feeders and water fountains." These are pawsome things to have for your kitty, but they could malfunction or run out of water. You can still use these and have a cat sitter stop by to check in to make sure that they're working properly. It's also a good idea to have someone check in to make sure that your cat is eating and drinking enough while you're away.
• Litter Box Cleaning - Cats are creatures that like clean environments, especially when it comes to where they go to the bathroom. Again, you might be thinking, "I have an automatic cleaning litter box." These are also great, but again, they could malfunction. Having a pet sitter for your cat ensures that your cat's litter box is clean and that your cat is urinating and passing stools normally. This will also help make sure that your cat is healthy and does not show signs of constipation or urinary blockage.
• Love, Attention & Playtime - Just like dogs, cats benefit from human interaction. A lot of cats actually enjoy getting chin scratches and ear rubs, which result in purring. Some cats even love to cuddle and play!
• Treats & Catnip!
• Hairball/Vomit Cleanup - It happens! A cat sitter can look around to see if any cleanup is needed. This also helps make sure that your kitty cat is healthy.
• Medications/Supplements
• Making Sure Your Cat is Happy, Healthy & Safe

Having a pet sitter for your cat is also good in other ways, such as - getting any packages, mail or newspapers to place them inside, making sure your house is locked and secure, turning on/off lights to make it look like someone is around, watering plants/gardens, or making sure that your heat or AC is working so that your kitty is comfortable inside.
Some cats do well with just one daily drop-in visit, while other cats may be more social and would like for you to ask your pet sitter to give them another drop-in visit!
Your cat will thank you meowy much!
